This is mostly for me to keep track of some of the sites I have come across through the years. Mostly free. This page with continually be growing. Use them or don't. :-) Also, if you have any that you use, please share. If you could include a quick description, that would be great.

English Language Arts

  • Readworks- Great site for articles for students to read. You can print them or assign them digitally. You can search by grade level or subjects or both.

​

Math

​

  • Khan Academy- Math videos explaining different math concepts. 

  • YouCubed- Jo Boaler has a great site for challenging the way we have taught, and are teaching math. Also, many great ideas for making math more accessible, more visual, and creative. Growth mindset for math and more.

  • Math Playground- This site has a lot of fun math games, but also many tools to help with critical thinking and problem solving. Like this one for using pictures with word problems.

 

Technology

  • Twitter- Great resource for following inspiring educators. I have a teaching account where I share and learn about educational things. Great source for your own Professional Learning Community.

  • Pernille Ripp- A middle school teacher shares her thoughts, especially on developing readers.

  • Ditch That Textbook- Matt Miller has a great site for ideas on making your classroom more interesting.
